Meclizine HCl

Indications/Uses

Prevention & treatment of nausea, vomiting or vertigo (dizziness) due to motion sickness.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult & childn ≥12 yr 1-2 tab. 6-12 yr ½ tab.

Administration

May be taken with or without food.

Special Precautions

Patients w/ glaucoma, asthma, chronic pulmonary disease, emphysema; enlarged prostate gland or difficulty in urinating. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation.

Adverse Reactions

Drowsiness, fatigue, dry mouth, constipation, headache, stomach upset. Rarely, blurred vision.

CNS depressants, barbiturates (eg, phenobarb), tranquilizers (eg, diazepam) & alcohol.
